Let’s kick off the Rose City Air Fest with a classic! Join us at Liberty Hall for a special screening of Top Gun, the iconic 1986 action film that launched one of the most legendary aviation stories in movie history. Follow hotshot Navy pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as he trains at the elite Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School, competing against the best pilots in the Navy while navigating rivalry, romance, friendship, and the pressure to prove himself.

But the fun doesn’t stop when the credits roll! As part of the Rose City Air Fest kickoff, you’ll have the chance to hear directly from Air Fest pilots and learn more about the people who take to the skies. The Discovery Science Place

Enjoy BOGO free tickets Oct. 8–11 and take part in Science Saturday with paper plane building and flight-testing fun. Get creative, put your engineering skills to the test, and see whose plane can fly the farthest! It’s a fun, hands-on way to celebrate Weekend of Flight with the whole family.
