Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season with an annual Christmas Parade and a multitude of shopping events including Mistletoe & Magic, the largest shopping extravaganza in the region. Take a self-guided tour through the Azalea District Trail of Lights and enjoy visiting any number of local shops unique to Tyler. There will be wonderful holiday offerings all season long!

Santa Land

November 10, 2023- January 4, 2024
The drive-thru Park and Gift Shop will be open 7 days a week, including holidays, rain or shine. If we have a line, we will not shut the gates until the last car is in the park.
Park Hours:
November: 6 PM – 10 PM every night
December: 6 PM – 10 PM Sunday-Thursday
6 PM – 10:30 PM Friday & Saturday
January: 6 PM – 10 PM every night

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides in the Azalea District

November 24th-December 31, 2023
Wednesdays-Sundays each week

Horse-drawn carriages from Cowboys Carriages are back in Tyler, Texas located behind Bergfeld Park! Wednesday thru Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. *Weather permitting.

There will be rides available for $5, $10, $15, or $20 a per person depending on the route chosen.

Plantation Pines Christmas Tree Farm

Thanksgiving 1:00pm-December Until Sold Out
Find the perfect Christmas Tree at the Reed Family farm, Plantation Pines. You and your family can have a seat on the hayride, or you may want to grab a saw off the trailer and go for a stroll in the fields. You and your kids will have fun picking out the perfect tree. You can cut it yourself or they’ll cut if for you. One of their team members will gladly shake the dead needles out of your tree and bale it – which gets it ready for the trip home. Before you leave, you will want to cozy up by the fire, drink hot chocolate and roast a marshmallow.

Azalea District Trail of Lights

Take a self-guided walking or driving tour through the historic Azalea District. You’ve seen the beautiful colors of the Azalea District during the spring; now see the historic homes come to life with color, once again, as they are “dressed” up for the holiday season in all their splendor.

CALDWELL ZOO ENRICHMENT TREE

The Enrichment Tree is the perfect way to give something special to your favorite animals with just a few clicks. Zoo keepers have curated a wishlist of items their animals love, providing them ongoing activity and engagement to benefit both their brains and their bodies. The tree will be on display for the visitors to enjoy and to choose items for the animals.

Open weekends only starting Nov 24th (Fri. Sat. Sun.) And then every night Dec 15th -25th 6-10pm
$20 per car
Their drive is a mile long! But you can go around as much as you want.
Season passes available $60

Walk the Lights
Dec 5th and 12th 6-9pm
$5 per person they provide hot chocolate and a bag of s’mores until they run out! Food trucks will be there too.

A Pineywoods Christmas at Tyler State Park

December 8 & 9 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Tyler State Park is encouraging families and friends of all ages to get outdoors, take a break from the holiday rush, and enjoy the season.
Everyone is invited to drive-through the Lakeview and Big Pine Campgrounds to see a camper-made holiday wonderland. Each camper decorates their site in its own unique holiday scene. This is one holiday attraction that is never the same year-to-year.
Stop by the Silver Canoe Park Store for discounts on unique gifts for the holidays. Enjoy half-price park entry $3 per person 13 and over; kids 12 and under are free. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item or donation to support the East Texas Food Bank

TJC Apache Belles Christmas Extravaganza

Three years ago we TJC started this new tradition of putting on a big, splashy holiday show in the style of the Radio City Rockettes, and it has been lot of fun for all of us,” said Apache Belles Director Jasilyn Schaefer.
“We’ll have the lights, the brightly colored costumes and the holiday music everyone loves to hear — plus, we’ve added a few surprise guests!”

Mistletoe & Magic, Tyler’s largest holiday shopping extravaganza is scheduled for November 29 – December 2, 2023 at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. This holiday market is a collection of more than 50 specialty boutiques and merchants from all over the country showcasing antiques, artwork, gourmet foods, jewelry, seasonal decorations, housewares, adult and children’s clothing and much more. Funds raised support the Junior League of Tyler community partners and projects.

Join us on the 24th for a moment to breathe, reflect on our blessings, and get into the Christmas spirit! Bring your Christmas cheer!

Explore Downtown Tyler through this magical event! During the event, some locations will be free and have extended hours. Participants will have the opportunity to play along with a fun scavenger hunt with a chance to win an awesome gift basket filled with Downtown goodies. Get ready to take lots of photos!
