The Oak Hurst course was designed by famed golf course designer, Carlton Gipson. Gipson has designed many great golf courses throughout the country. Mr. Gipson has designed the Oak Hurst course to appeal and challenge all levels of golfers. Oak Hurst has 5 sets of teeing areas so the golfer can pick the length of course that best fits them. The Oak Hurst course was featured in the Dallas Morning News article “Diamonds in the Rough”, which spotlighted great golf courses around the state of Texas that are not in metropolitan areas. Oak Hurst has also been awarded “Best Public Golf Course” by the readers of B-Scene magazine and the voters of Locals Love Us.com. Our driving range and practice areas were voted “Best Driving Range” by the readers of The Tyler Morning Telegraph.
