City of Tyler logoTyler Transit, operated by the City of Tyler, provides public transportation services throughout Tyler. Services hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The basic fare is currently $1.00 for adults; $0.50 for elderly or disabled (with ID); and $0.50 for children under 12. Exact change is needed upon boarding. If more than one route is needed to reach a destination, passengers can request a bus transfer upon payment and will be able to board the transfer bus at no additional cost.

  • The RED LINE connects central north Tyler with central south Tyler along Broadway Avenue
  • The BLUE LINE provides service along the west side of Tyler
  • The GREEN LINE provides service in east Tyler
  • The YELLOW LINE provides service primarily in central and south Tyler

Tyler Transit also offers a shared door-to-door Paratransit services for people with disabilities who cannot use the fixed-based routes. Though certification is required to use the Paratransit system, guests in Tyler can use the system for 30 days without certification. Fares are $1.50 for ALL passengers, including children; however, personal care attendants aged 12 or older can ride free.
